OPEN BOOK FESTIVAL PREVIEW: Dr Azille Coetzee on Queering Intimacy.

Returning to Cape Town from 5–7 September 2025, the Open Book Festival offers over 100 events featuring writers from South Africa and beyond. This year’s programme moves between the deeply personal and the globally political, with conversations on mental health, evolving identities, colonial legacies, and many more.
